Maya's pov

I collapsed onto the couch, exhaustion etched on my face. My phone rang, and i smiled weakly as I saw Kiara's name on the screen. "Hey, Kiara! I'm...I'm doing okay, I guess," I said, trying to sound more energetic than I felt.

Kiara's voice was warm and concerned. "Hii! How are you, Maya? You know I miss you! Anyway, how's work going? Is my brother troubling you?"

I sighed whether to tell her not not , feeling a mix of relief and frustration. "If I'm being honest, then yes. He always makes sure to give me extremely extra work every day. I'm starting to think he enjoys seeing me stressed out."

Kiara's tone turned sympathetic. "Oh, Maya! I'm so sorry. My brother can be...intense sometimes. But I'll talk to him, try to get him to ease up on you."

"By the way I was thinking that we should hang out tomorrow gurl, it's been fucking 10 days we haven't hangout" Kiara said sounding a little annoyed.

My face lit up slightly at the suggestion. "That sounds lovely, Kiara! I'd love to meet you at your favorite cafe tomorrow. What time were you thinking?"

Kiara's voice was enthusiastic. "How about 2 pm? We can catch up and grab some coffee. Plus, I want to hear more about what's going on with you and my brother at work."

I smiled wryly. "Sounds like a plan. I'll meet you there at 2 pm."

I hung up the phone keeping it aside before getting up and going to kitchen for dinner..

I grabbed my favorite instant spicy ramen and cooked it before taking it to my room with a cold drink, I threw my clothes at the floor , because I don't care.

I sat in my bed watching my phone and eating, after eating I went to washroom for bath, as I was taking my bath my mind keep going about Kabir ' Itna khadoos kyu hai yeh Kabir, ughh i just hate him, kaha kiara aur kaha woh so different' I thought in my mind.. Before doing my skincare and jumped in bed before sleeping..

The best morning, I woke up feeling refreshed, ready to take on the day. I got dressed in a sleek black tube top and dark blue flared jeans, the outfit accentuating my curves. My dark brown hair cascaded down her back, framing her face. I added a touch of subtle makeup, enhancing my natural features without looking too done-up.

With a final glance in the mirror, I grabbed her bag and headed out the door, feeling confident and prepared for my meet-up with Kiara at the cafe.

As I went downstairs, My brother Ruhaan already seated in dining table having his breakfast.

"Areey wah subbe subhe kahan ja rahi ho mohtarma ji" He said mockingly already ready to annoy me..

Maya rolled her eyes good-naturedly as she replied, " It's 11am Ruhaan! Aur mai kiara se milne ja rahi hu, no need to be so suspicious. Don't worry, I'll be back soon."

Ruhan raised an eyebrow, still looking concerned. "Just be careful, okay? And don't forget to take your phone with you."

Maya smiled and patted her bag. "I've got everything I need, bro. See you later!" With a wave, she headed out the door.

As I walked into the cozy cafe, I spotted Kiara sitting at a corner table, sipping on a latte. Kiara's face lit up with a warm smile as she saw Me, and she waved enthusiastically.

I smiled back and made my way to the table, dropping into the chair across from Kiara. "Hey! Sorry I'm a bit early... just kidding, I'm right on time!" I said with a laugh.

Kiara giggled and leaned in for a quick hug. "I'm just glad you're here! What can I get you to drink?"

The barista smiled as I and Kiara placed our orders. "So, what can I get for you two today?" he asked, pen poised over his notepad.

I thought for a moment before responding, "I'll have a strawberry shake and a chicken sandwich, please."

Kiara nodded in agreement. "And I'll have a cold coffee with a scoop of ice cream, plus an order of your pan-seared dumplings."

The barista nodded, typing their orders into the system. "Coming right up! We'll bring everything over to you."

I and Kiara opted to sit outside, where the warm sunlight and gentle breeze created a pleasant atmosphere. We chose a cozy table under a shaded area, surrounded by lush greenery and the soft hum of conversation from nearby tables.

As we settled in, Maya let out a contented sigh. "I love sitting outside like this. It's so much more relaxing than being cooped up inside."

Kiara nodded in agreement. "Totally! Fresh air always makes me feel more alive."
