Kabir's pov
I enters my mansion,
As I sat on the couch, staring out the window as my mind wandered to Maya. I couldn't help but think about our encounter earlier that day, her sharp wit and confident demeanor.
As I thought about her, my eyes narrowed. I had been drawn to her, but I couldn't let his attraction cloud my judgment. "Stop, Kabir," I told myself. "She's also a gold digger, just like all the others."
The next morning, I got up and went to gym , I didn't slept well last night.. After gym I got ready and went down stairs
As I descended to the dining area, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and breakfast filled the air. My family was already seated, enjoying their morning meal. As I took my place at the table, my eyes scanning the spread before him.
Just then, Arjun walked in, clapping on my back. "Morning, bro! Gym session done and dusted, I see."
I nodded, my expression neutral. "Yeah, got it out of the way."
Arjun grinned. "You're such a machine, Kabir. I'm surprised you don't have a treadmill in your bedroom."
I raised an eyebrow. "Maybe I should get one installed."
Our conversation was interrupted by my mother, who asked, "Kabir, did you sleep well? You look a bit...tense."
My expression smoothed out. "I'm fine, Mom. Just a bit of work-related stress."
Arjun chimed in, "Yeah, bro here's being a bit of a tyrant. Scared some poor girl half to death yesterday at work ."
I shot Arjun a warning glance. "Arjun..."
My mother frowned. "Kabir, what's going on? You know I don't like it when you intimidate people."
My voice turned cold. "It's nothing, Mom. Just a misunderstanding." I said I knew if arjun said it was Maya, she would have kill me why because she loves maya like her own daughter.. (Guys don't forget maya is his sister best friend and his parents knows her)
Arjun added, "Yeah, Kabir here's got a bit of a reputation for being... intense. But hey, someone's got to keep things interesting around here."
My eyes narrowed at Arjun, but I remained silent, focusing on my breakfast. After my breakfast, I went to work as usual.... I was busy with my meeting..
During work Maya and Ria (her colleague) sat in the cafeteria
Maya leaned in, whispering to her colleague, Ria, in the office break room. "I don't get it, Ria. Why is your boss so grumpy all the time? He's like a robot or something. I think he never smiles, only frowns," Maya said, giggling.
Ria chuckled, nodding in agreement. "I know, right? I've never seen him smile either. Maybe he's just really focused on work."
Just then, I walked into the cafeteria, my eyes scanning the room. Maya and Ria didn't notice me at first, too caught up in their conversation. But as I cleared my throat, they both turned to see me standing there, a hint of amusement in my eyes.
Maya's face turned bright red as she realized I had overheard her comment. She felt a mix of embarrassment and mortification, unsure of how to react.
My expression didn't give away much, but Maya could sense a hint of amusement behind his my"Just discussing my management style, I presume?" I said, my voice neutral.
Maya nodded, still feeling embarrassed. "Yes, sir. Just... um... admiring your... focus."
I raised an eyebrow, a small smirk playing on his lips. "I see. Well, I'll take that as a compliment,"I said, before turning and walking out of the cafeteria.
As the door closed behind him, Ria turned to Maya, her eyes wide with excitement. "Girl, you got him smirking! I've never seen that before."
Maya's face was still red, but she couldn't help but feel a sense of triumph. Maybe, just maybe, she had seen a glimmer of humanity behind my gruff exterior...
I called maya, in my office cabin My voice was firm. "Maya, come in," I said, my tone commanding.
Maya walked in, her eyes meeting mine, as she took a seat. My expression was serious, my eyes fixed intently on hers.
"We have a meeting with the client today at 1 pm," I said, his voice crisp. "They're interested in meeting you after seeing your designs. Be prepared to present your work and answer any questions they may have."
Maya nodded, her mind racing with the details of the project. "Yes, sir. I'll be ready."
My eyes narrowed slightly, my voice taking on a warning tone. "And Maya, don't do anything... stupid. This is a crucial meeting, and I expect you to represent the company professionally."
Maya felt a spark of annoyance at my tone but I don't care , she bit back her retort. "I understand, sir. I'll be professional," she said, her voice even.
I nodded, my expression unreadable. "Good. Let's get ready for the meeting. We can't afford to mess this up."
Maya nodded, her eyes locked on mine. She was determined to prove herself, to show me and the client that she was capable and competent. She stood up, her shoulders squared, ready to face the challenge ahead.
As the they were in conference room.
Maya stood confidently in front of Sushmita Sharma and her father, Raj, in the conference room. I introduced her, and the clients smiled warmly.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Maya," Sushmita said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "We've seen your jewelry designs, and we're impressed. We're looking for something unique and stunning for my wedding."
Maya smiled, her creative juices flowing. "I'm thrilled to work with you, Sushmita. Can you tell me more about your vision for the wedding jewellery?"
Sushmita nodded, describing her favorite styles and themes. Maya listened intently, her mind racing with ideas.
"Can you show me some of your designs?" Sushmita asked, her eyes eager.
Maya nodded, pulling out her portfolio. "I have a few pieces that might interest you. This necklace, for example, features intricate filigree work and a stunning centerpiece..."
Sushmita's eyes widened as she examined the designs, and Maya knew she had caught her attention.
Raj nodded, impressed. "These are beautiful, Maya. I think Sushmita would look stunning in any of these pieces."
I observed from the side, a hint of a smile on my face. I was impressed with Maya's talent and professionalism.
